A trio of cities will receive new defibrillators, paid for out of the discretionary fund of county Supervisor Adam Hill.

Pismo Beach, Grover Beach and San Luis Obispo will each receive one of the automated external defibrillators, which cost between $1,500 and $2,000 each.

Hill said he has been working with the mayors, fire chiefs and police chiefs of the three cities to locate the best areas to install the devices.
